Question by Love Letters: Would this be a weird gift?
My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up, and I was asking yourself if this would be a weird gift. A while ago, he had a dream that I was helping baby ducklings into a basket. It has turn into a bit of an within joke with us, like “Sorry that I did not answer the phone, I was busy helping baby ducks into a basket.” So I was considering for his birthday I could paint a image of myself assisting ducklings into a basket, and putting it into a great frame. Would that be weird to give him a picture that I painted of myself?

Also, his birthday is only six days following Valentine’s day. Need to I just give him all his gifts for the two occasions at one particular time? Or should I give him a handful of issues for the two? What are a number of good Valentine’s gifts other than chocolate for a man?

Thank you so much!

I consider that the painting is an outstanding thought, it is very personal and actually shows how considerably he indicates to you. Also you could get him aftershave, CD, DVD or some sort of memorabilia. Hope this aids.

if my gf did something like this, i would LOVE it. I think you have a great idea for your bday gift! Stick with it!

In our female mind that would be a great gift! Sadly, Men just aren’t the same. I’ve been with my husband now for going on eight years and in the beginning of our relationship, I would put lots of thought into my gifts for him. I would make him sweet little things that had lots of meaning behind them, like a scrapbook or a photo montage. Something that I thought would be the perfect gift. But when I would give them to him he wouldn’t really know exactly what to do with it. He would be grateful and understand all the hard work I put into it, but just not be that excited about it. Men just aren’t as sentimental as we are. So the way I “fixed” this little problem was that If I wanted to make him something I would give it to him as a “small” gift and then give him something he really wants or can really use to go along with it.

As for the Valentines thing, I would make them separate. And like I was saying before, don’t go for sweet and sentimental for the valentines gift. Get him something he can use for work, or a hobby, like a game or a cd.

    Hope this helps!
